How to sell your services as easily as Taylor Swift sells tour tickets.
I’d pay way too much money for a T-Swift concert. Here’s why.
Like most 25-year-old women in the midwest, I’ve been a Swiftie pretty much since her first song debuted back in 2006.
I know. *Cue the eyerolls.*
But before you stop reading, I have a lesson for all of us here… even for the non-Swifties.
I want to talk about why so many suckers like me would pay an absurd amount of money to see Taylor perform live.
Taylor Swift has become one of the best-selling musicians of all time – not because she has that good of a voice, but because she’s an amazing storyteller.
Check out these lyrics:
“Photo album on the counter
Your cheeks were turning red
You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed.”
See what she did there? She paints pictures with lyrics. She doesn’t just remind us that we used to be little kids; she shows us what being young looked like, and what it felt like.
It’s why I’d pay more money than I’m willing to disclose in this email to see her perform live.
We can all learn a lesson here.
Here’s an easy way you can use story to sell your services as easily as Taylor Swift sells tour tickets.
Build your business authority by sharing experiences instead of accolades.
Your prospects don’t care about how many degrees you have, or how many awards your business has won.
Instead, tell them about a time you’ve been in their shoes.
Your prospects want to know that you understand the problem they’re experiencing, and then they want to know how you can help them get through it.
If you’re having trouble with this, I know a good copywriter who can help.
